About Anne Karrenbrock

Vita

Anne Karrenbrock studied industrial design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. She earned her master’s degree in product design from the Berlin University of the Arts. She has worked in research and teaching in various settings, including the Social Design department at the Folkwang University, the Chair of Ubiquitous Design at the University of Siegen, and the Chair of Social Urban Design at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences. Other positions included stints at the Wuppertal Institute and Fliedner University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. Since 2022, she has been teaching and conducting research at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences on design, participation, and transformation. Her work explores how co-creative practices can strengthen collective agency and democratic negotiation.
